HEALTH & SAFETY
LAB Language Arts Base is operating according to Worksafe BC regulations, and keeps updated with BC Health orders. Please be mindful during COVID-19 environment, and stay home should you feel any signs of illness!
UPDATES WITH BC HEALTH
According to BC Province-wide restrictions; we've reviewed our COVID-19 Safety Plan, and remind all instructors and students to monitor themselves daily and to always stay home if they have symptoms. We are doing daily screening to keep our workplace safe. We will continue to operate as we have "individuals attending regularly scheduled classes or practices in a recreation centre." We kindly ask and remind those who are booking private workshops with us, please ensure your group resides in the same address/ are in the "same bubble".
IN THE SPACE
LAB will have temperature checks for everyone who enters the space, and implement masks for all instructors and adults to wear in the space. Children are highly encouraged to wear masks as well.
Children under age of 2 are not required to wear masks. During high traffic times, please follow the appropriate 'one-way' signs to enter and exit the studio.
PRE REGISTRATION & CLASS SIZE
All students are pre-registered to enter the classroom space. Class groups are made small. Let's remember to maintain minimum of 6-feet distancing! Participants will be given their own workspace area and materials to use in our 1800 sq/ft studio.
Everyone is encouraged to hand wash with soap and/or use hand sanitizer before and after class. We love to remind students to do so on an hourly basis during longer camp/workshop sessions.
There is daily studio cleaning and sanitization at end of the day. High traffic areas will be sanitized on an ongoing basis.
In the event that the city will lock down all non-essential businesses, all remaining course credits will be prorated and can be used for future classes/workshops or LAB merchandise within one calendar year.
Your support means the world to us, and we will do our best to ensure safe class experiences for everyone. Thank you!
