We absolutely LOVE Camp Days at our studio!
Our dedicated team creates amazing themed activities for kids of all ages to try and have fun with during their school breaks. We have a great indoor space, situated in the safe community of Steveston Village, Richmond, so if you're around the neighbourhood, come check us out! We make our Camp Days' schedules flexible for every family with different time blocks each day (9am-12noon, 10am-12noon, 1-3pm, and 3:15-5:15pm), so you can pick and choose one or as many sessions as it fits your day. If you're a busy parent, and looking for something to fill your kids' free time, why not try our artsy camps?
There's a camp for every child. For our little ones aged 3 to 6, we curate wonderful activities such as: Canvas Painting, Wet Felting, Clay Exploration, Pencil Drawing, Watercolour, Origami, Jewelry Making, and Collaging. These are intensive drop-off sessions, so we recommend 2 hour sessions a day for students under 6.
For our older and more experienced artists aged 7+, we enjoy introducing even more activities such as: Needle Felting, Ceramic Sculptures and Underglaze Techniques, Hand Sewing, Comic Book Drawing/Writing, Reader's Theatre (Script Writing) and STEAM activities (Science + Art). It's never a dull moment in our studio! We've had students stay all day and take home 3 completely different projects made with pride and joy.
What does a Camp Day session look like? As the session begins, students have a few minutes to themselves with our invitation to draw or read. Once settled, our instructors introduce the theme of the day + activity! Kids will follow along step by step, and are given the creative freedom to add their individual flair so no art piece is ever the exact same. We squeeze in a quick break to drink some water, and stretch our legs! Finally we add finishing touches, and complete our projects to take home. During the sessions, students are always encouraged to help one another, keep their work area tidy and clean, and have fun making mistakes and masterpieces!
Camps happen during Winter Break, Spring Break and Summer Break, with themes that go with the season. We also sprinkle some of those during Pro-D Days and seasonal holidays throughout the year as well.
